- Click the Schools & Classes tab, and then click the Grade to Grade link under Move.
- On the Promote Students screen, select a new grade from the Highest Grade Level drop down list.
- Click Next to validate the selection.
- On the Verify Selections screen, click Next.
- ThinkCentral determines if any active student’s grade is less than the selected Highest Grade Level for any selected school.
- ThinkCentral determines if any active student’s grade is greater than the selected Highest Grade Level for any selected school.
- On the Copy Student Account Data screen, click Save File.
- The students’ files are exported.
- ThinkCentral creates a single export file for the school being promoted.
- Click Next.
- On the Confirmation screen, click Promote.
- Click OK on the confirmation request message that appears on the screen.
- The ThinkCentral navigates you to the Promote Students screen.
- The Highest grade level is updated.
Notes
• Schools are displayed with the highest grade and the last promoted date.
• If you are not authorized to execute promotions, contact your District Administrator.

This topic describes how to move students to the next grade at the end of the school year.
- On the School & Classes tab, click Grade to Grade under Move.
- On the Promote Students screen, select a grade from the Highest Grade Level dropdown list, and then click Next.
- On the Verify Selection screen, click Next.
- On the Copy Student Account Data screen, click Save File.
- Click Next.
- On the Confirmation screen, click Promote.
- Click OK on the message that appears.
Notes
• Once the move has been processed, you will receive a confirmation by email.
• You can undo the move within seven days.
You can undo a student’s move within seven days from the date of promotion.
- On School & Classes tab, click Grade to Grade under Move.
- On the Promote Students screen, click here hyperlink to navigate to Undo Promotion screen.
- On the Undo Promotion – Confirmation screen, click Undo.
- Click OK on the message that appears.
